James “Jay” N. Osteen is a co-founder and partner in the firm. Jay concentrates his practice in the area of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, including major commercial vehicle and trucking accidents, automobile and motorcycle accidents, commercial airline crashes, products liability cases, maritime injury cases, medical malpractice cases and pharmaceutical negligence cases.
Jeffrey N. Osteen recently stepped down as the State Court Judge of Liberty County, having served for approximately eight years. Prior to becoming a full-time judge, Jeff was the Solicitor General for the State Court of Liberty County for twelve years and a practicing attorney at Jones, Osteen & Jones for over sixteen years. Jeff joins Osteen Law Group as a senior attorney assisting in real estate, business law and governmental law, and brings his wealth of trial practice to our personal injury and wrongful death trial teams.
Jack E. Carney, Jr. began practicing personal injury law, criminal law and real estate law in 1977. Following his successful trial and real estate practice, he became the Judge of the State Court of Bryan County, Georgia serving for twenty-four years until his retirement. Jack is currently a Senior Judge, as well as a trained mediator. Jack brings his considerable legal talent to Osteen Law Group assisting in many areas while focusing his practice on real estate law.
As the attorney for Liberty County and the Liberty County Industrial Authority, L. Kelly Davis has had an illustrious career spanning three decades. In addition to representing local governmental entities, Kelly also represents clients in commercial real estate, business law and personal injury law. He is the go-to lawyer for complex commercial real estate transactions and complex business litigation. We are also excited to have him join our personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice litigation team.
Jordan is a rising attorney who focuses her practice on efficiently representing clients who have been injured in a variety of personal injury matters, including but not limited to, car accidents, commercial truck accidents and vicious dog attacks. Jordan began her career with Osteen Law Group in 2013 as our receptionist before transitioning into a paralegal role while becoming attorney in 2019. Jordan’s all around experience in this office paired with her legal knowledge makes her one of the best in her field.
Well known as the City Attorney for the City of Hinesville and judge of the Juvenile Courts of the Atlantic Judicial Circuit, Linnie L. Darden, III has been practicing at Jones, Osteen & Jones for over thirty-three years. He will bring his diverse law practice, including personal injury law, municipal government law, family law, child custody, criminal law, business litigation and corporate law to the firm and will continue to see clients at the office located at 206 East Court Street in Hinesville.

Andrew M. “Bert” Ruberti is a rising attorney who now focuses his practice on representing clients who have been injured or killed in automobile and commercial truck wrecks. Bert is a highly respected former insurance defense lawyer, who now uses the firsthand knowledge and experience he gained while defending insurance companies to zealously advocate on behalf of individuals and families impacted by the negligence of others. He also serves as the Assistant Solicitor for the City of Hinesville. A native of St. Simons Island, Georgia, Bert is a graduate of the 2024 Leadership Glynn class. He serves on the Board of Directors of Communities in Schools of Glynn County, an affiliate of the nation’s largest dropout prevention organization. Bert is a member of the Glynn County Bar Association, the Atlantic Judicial Bar Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice before all trial courts in the State of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Georgia.
Tyler Brewton is a rising attorney currently focusing on real estate transactions and contract law at Osteen Law Group. Recently, Tyler was voted by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce to 2024’s “40 under 40” group representing the top forty young professionals in Wayne County, Georgia. Over the course of his career Tyler has diverse practice experience in family law, criminal law and child custody disputes.
